Actor headshots that hold up in the casting room

The job of a headshot is narrow and unforgiving: it has to look exactly like you on the day you walk in, and it has to make someone stop scrolling. We shoot for both.

Commercial and theatrical, in one session

Most actors need at least two distinct looks. The commercial look is warmer and more open — the person a brand wants in a thirty-second spot. The theatrical look carries more weight and specificity, closer to the roles you actually read for.

We plan those looks before the shoot from your reel, your type and what your agent is submitting you for, then build wardrobe and lighting around them rather than shooting generically and hoping something fits.

Sessions include

  • A pre-session conversation about type, casting goals and wardrobe
  • Multiple looks with wardrobe and background changes
  • Tethered capture — you see and help choose frames as we shoot
  • Natural retouching that leaves you recognisable in the room
  • Files delivered in 8×10 and square/vertical web crops
  • Sizes ready for Actors Access, Backstage, Casting Networks and agency sites

Upstate rates, Manhattan production

Performers based in the Hudson Valley, Albany, the Catskills or western Connecticut shouldn't have to book a day in Manhattan and pay Manhattan prices to get headshots that compete. We work from a studio in Accord and a second studio in Brooklyn, with the same lighting and the same eye in both.

Sessions can be shot in-studio against a clean background, or outdoors using natural light — the Hudson Valley provides some genuinely good exteriors within a few minutes' drive.
